Proving once again that there is an art to integrating quality golf course design into a residential community, Nicklaus Design had 16 courses featured on the recent Golfweek ranking of the Best Residential Courses in America for 2012.
Castle Pines in Castle Rock, Colo., led the list at No. 8, followed by Mayacama in Santa Rosa, Calif., at No. 9. The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla., rounded out the top 20 at No. 19. The other Nicklaus Design courses, in order: No. 39 Promontory (Painted Valley) in Park City, Utah; No. 41 Red Ledges in Heber City, Utah; No. 45 Lake Las Vegas (SouthShore) in Henderson, Nev.; No. 46 The Bear’s Club, Jupiter, Fla.; No. 60 Desert Highlands in Scottsdale, Ariz.; No. 71 Dalhousie Golf Club in Gape Girardeau, Mo.; No. 72 Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, Texas; No 79 Colleton River in Bluffton, S.C.; No. 83 Creighton Farms in Aldie, Va.; No. 87 Coyote Springs (Chase) in Coyote Springs, Nev.; No. 89 Superstition Mountain (Prospector) in Superstition Mountain, Ariz.; No. 90 The Ritz Carlton Golf Club and Spa in Jupiter, Fla.
