Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea, South Korea
JNGC Korea was host to the 2015 Presidents Cup, welcoming over 100,000 spectators and was broadcasted to more than one billion homes.
In 2010, JNCG hosted the first full field PGA TOUR event in Asia. JNGC Korea is the highest-priced golf course in the country. In its first year, JNGC Korea sold 100 memberships, totaling $90 million in sales.
By the numbers: $35 billion master plan,100 million square feet, 65,000 permanent residents,22,500 new housing units, 40 million square feet of office space, 10 million square feet of retail space, 5 million square feet of hotel space Serengeti Golf and Wildlife Estate, South Africa. Since launching in May 2006, Serengeti has had a 100 percent sell-through rate on all four phases. The first phase sold out in two hours and each subsequent phase sold out in a weekend. Within 18 months, the average selling price increased by about 30%.
Cabo Del Sol, Mexico
In 1993, Nicklaus Design opened the first 18 hole golf course in the Los Cabos market. Prior to the opening, Los Cabos was a sleepy fishing town on the Baja California Peninsula with one 9 hole municipal layout that produced 5,000 rounds in 1992.Within eight years, Nicklaus Design opened three golf courses (63 holes in total) and the market produced over 220,000 rounds that year. With the 2014 opening of the award-winning Quivira, Nicklaus Design now has seven courses in Cabo.
Today, 2.7 million passengers pass through the Los Cabos International Airport each year. Los Cabos is the second fastest growing community in Mexico.
The Bear’s Club, Florida
All 35 founding memberships, the most expensive in the region, were finalized and sold out before the course opened.
