The Master Plan for MayaZamá embodies the concept of creating a model resort and residential community in Tulum. The architectural concept for the new MayaZamá will symbolize the nautical union of the four cardinal points. Each of the four quadrants, as in the four “bacabes” of the Mayan universe, will feature a hotel with a different theme and contemporary Mayan architectural styles. In addition, the fifth area will be the beach club which will serve as a starting point formed by canals and lakes that provide access to the world class golf course and resort.
The architecture will be a unique blend of the local flavor, culture and history. The planned amenities reflect the lifestyle of those who will reside and vacation in this fabulous resort community.
The concept of this luxurious 866.50 acre (351 hectare) community of 532 single-family home sites, 1023 golf villas will also include condominium apartment residences, hotel accommodations, Town Center commercial entities, restaurants and cafes. Its magnificent Casa Club clubhouse and dining facilities will also be a signature of this beautiful resort community. Guests can expect to be pampered. MayaZamá will focus on providing a lush enclave tucked away from the rest of the world. Over 200 acres (81 hectares) will be set aside for open spaces with limited roads and pathways planned with ecology in mind. The Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course will be a focal point of this extraordinary community. The course will be a challenging Par 72, 7,282-yards featuring 18 holes commanding views of the natural vista and oceanfront location. Beautiful lakes and waterways will comprise another verdant 97 acres (39 hectares) for all to see and enjoy..
The site is conveniently located adjacent to the Ecological National Park and Archeological Zone of Tulum. The location enjoys a close proximity to a host of other attractions including Xcaret Theme Park combining zoo activity with a beach resort. As well as idyllic beaches, the Riviera Maya coast sports the second longest coral reef in the world for snorkeling and diving. Offshore fishing is another favorite attraction with some of the world’s best sailfishing taking place in view of the ancient ruins.
MayaZamá will include Aldea Zamá, an additional 185-acre (74-hectacre) village destined to become a new fashionable and upscale, walk to everything, downtown area. Architecturally it is a very stylish blend of traditional materials and contemporary thinking. Residences will include single family homes, multi-family clusters and condominium apartments, and in the TownCenter venue some apartments will be above the shops.
