Course Overview

Bear Lakes Country Club brings an exciting new level of golf to the Palm Beaches. Two distinctive and exclusive, 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature courses offer exceptional play for both the casual and serious golfer. The world-class design of each course offers its own array of challenges and rewards.

The Links course, a newly renovated Par 72 in 2007, and originally designed in 1987 by Jack Nicklaus. The multiple deep bunkers on each hole cause the Links Course to resemble the beauty of a seaside Scottish Links course. From the five sets of tees and through the rolling fairways and expanded greens, this course layout winds itself through clusters of native grasses and plantings. The Links course depicts a character all of its own.

The Lakes course, a 7,439 yard Par 72, originally designed in 1984 and renovated in 2003 by legendary Jack Nicklaus, offers strategically placed bunkers, undulating greens, shimmering lakes, and five sets of tees to accommodate all caliber of players. The Lakes Course features the latest in turf technology combined with exciting architectural changes and the addition of 800 trees. In 2005, the Lakes course was voted by Golf Digest as one of the top ten remodeled courses in the United States. The course offers a visual treat, excellent playability, and promises to create an interesting challenge for players of all handicaps.

Both Bear Lakes courses are meticulously maintained in top playing condition. Bear Lakes Country Club’s new practice facility reopened in the fall of 2007. This state of the art facility includes a double sided driving range, along with a chipping range to practice bunker shots for the Links Course. Our golf professionals stand ready to assist members and their guests, providing a spacious, fully-equipped golf shop and personalized instruction. Also available for lessons is our Director of Instruction, Matt Messer in our recently built state of the art indoor teaching facility.

Bear Lakes Country Club is a very active golf club with over 150 single digit handicap players. The club hosts numerous men’s and ladies’ golf events in season, Couples Twilight golf, as well as weekly ladies’ days, member vs. staff tournaments, and our men’s daily call-in games.
