The Potomac Shores master-planned community has been recognized as the “2016 Community of the Year” at the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association’s “Great American Living Awards” (GALA) held on Thursday, Oct. 6, in McLean, Va.
Located just 30 minutes south of downtown Washington, D.C., Potomac Shores is a 1,920-acre master-planned community being developed by SunCal along the Potomac River in Prince William County. SunCal is one of the largest real estate development companies in the U.S. that specializes in large-scale, mixed-use master-planned communities.
The GALA program is the most prestigious residential design, sales, and marketing competition in the metropolitan Washington, D.C., market. Builders, developers, architects, sales, marketing, merchandising, and advertising professionals have judged these awards for more than 50 years, and to win a GALA is considered the “Best of the Best.”
“With two miles of shoreline, a planned VRE rail station and a world-class recreation center now open, there’s nothing else like Potomac Shores in the Virginia area,” said David Soyka, SunCal Senior Vice President. “We’re very pleased that the Northern Virginia BIA has honored Potomac Shores with this top award.”
