The Jack Nicklaus Golf Academy at Yucatan Country Club in Merida, Mexico, was opened in February 2008 as the first Jack Nicklaus Academy in Latin America. Year after year, the Academy has grown, and currently there are seven professionals dedicated to training 80 young golfers.
The Academy has had an average of 25 students at the competitive level since 2011, and since then, several of these athletes have ranked among the top five juniors in Mexico. Twice, the Jack Nicklaus Golf Academy has had the honor of being the highest ranked golf school in the country with the highest numbers of participants and most trophy winners.
Aside from being the first Jack Nicklaus Academy to open in Latin America, the Jack Nicklaus Golf Academy at Yucatan Country Club was also designated a “High Performance Academy” by the Mexican Federation of Golf.
