Pearl Valley to host SA Open

Pearl Valley has been confirmed as the host venue for the 2007 SA Open.

The three-year-old Jack Nicklaus designed course in the Cape Winelands promises to be a terrific venue for the event – according to Ernie Els.

Els, who played the course earlier this year, believes that Pearl Valley is one of the best courses in South Africa.

Pearl Valley is also the home course of South Africa’s Trevor Immelman.

The SA Open, which is the second oldest national Open in the world after the Open Championship, last visited the Western Cape in 2004 when Immelman defended his title at Erinvale.

This year’s SA Open will be held from December 14-17 at Humewood GC.
